WHY I DID IT
                                                                                                                        I CREATED AND PUBLISHED this website, because it, and the research it contains, was worth doing.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       SIR EDMUND HILLARY, answering a reporter who asked him why he had climbed Mount Everest, replied, "Because it was there!".                                                                                                                                                                                                          THOSE WHO SEEK ulterior motives, overlook the obvious: some things are done, because they are worthwhile and important to do. Important to the person doing them, and even more so, when important for others.                                                                                                                             A PSYCHOLOGIST, who measured my I.Q. and interviewed me, said that I had an "achievement orientation". Which also implies my being "non-competitive". What is worth doing, is worth doing well, in and for itself.                                                                                                                                                               A PROFESSOR giving a commencement address at Harvard, said in part: "Harvard University pays me for doing, what I would gladly pay Harvard University for allowing me to do! Don't throw away your books, and keep your diplomas. Throw away your diplomas, and keep your books!".                                                                                                                                             SELF-DEFENSE against criminals does not account, in itself, for my research on Evolution of Mind.                                                                                                                                                                                                              BECAUSE OF THESE last two sections, you may consider me to be arrogant, egotistical, self-centered, and to be suffering from a host of other defects, possibly including a superiority complex. About which, I don't care, because what you think of me is irrelevant. The world values the Hope Diamond, not the guy in the mine with a pickaxe who dug it up!
