THE BIOPSYCHOLOGICAL MODEL: Relationships in Biology and Psychology
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      RELATIONSHIPS ARE EITHER MUTUALISM, COMMENSALISM, OR PARASITISM in both Biology and Psychology:                                                                                                                                                                       MUTUALISM is defined as a relationship between organisms or people, where BOTH BENEFIT, and NEITHER IS HARMED. Each organism, or person, satisfies a need of the other.               IT IS A MUTUAL EXCHANGE OF THINGS USEFUL. Angiosperms are pollenated by insects, while the insects obtain nectar for their own use. Some bacteria in the intestines help to break down waste, while obtaining substances necessary to them for life. Both man and bacteria benefit.                Sex between two people, mutual friendship, a conversation two people both enjoy, or using your own money to pay others for goods and services necessary for your life, are examples of mutualism in human interaction.                                                                                                                                                             COMMENSALISM is a relationship where one party benefits, while the other doesn't benefit, but isn't harmed.        THERE IS NO HARM TO EITHER PARTY. ONE BENEFITS.        Ear mites in dogs' ears benefit from warmth in the dogs' ears, and do nothing in return for the dogs. The dogs are not affected.         Enjoying a free concert in Central Park is a human example. Obtaining items for free, which someone has discarded as no longer useful or desirable, is another.                                                                                                                                                                          MUTUALISM AND COMMENSALISM are relationships with an ABSENCE OF DAMAGE to the organisms, or people, involved, and a PRESENCE OF BENEFIT for either both parties, or one.                                                                                                                                                                                                   PARASITISM is a relationship, or interaction, where DAMAGE occurs. ONE PARTY BENEFITS BY HARMING THE OTHER. GROUPS CAN ALSO BE PARASITICAL.       The AIDS virus destroys healthy immune cells, benefiting from the contents.       Simple harassment, and unsolved murders, are human examples.                                                                                                                                                                                                               OBVIOUSLY, this is about people who give something having value, or usefulness, in exchange for what they get, or obtain something available for free, without doing damage, AS OPPOSED TO those who victimize others to obtain such things, or to enjoy doing damage, or both. Anything violating criminal or civil law is parasitism. Law prohibits doing damage to others.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   THIS MODEL, IDENTICAL IN BOTH BIOLOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY, SHOWS A CONTINUITY IN EVOLUTION BETWEEN BODY AND MIND, LENDING FURTHER SUPPORT TO IDEAS ON THIS WEBSITE: BOTH BIOLOGICAL AND MENTAL EVOLUTION OCCUR IN STAGES, EVOLUTION OF MIND BEING A CONTINUATION OF THE PROCESS BASED UPON EVOLUTION OF BODY. THE OVERALL EVOLUTION OF MATTER AND ENERGY, LIFE, AND MIND, IS A CONTINUOUS PROGRESSION OF MEGA-STAGES OVER ENORMOUS LENGTHS OF TIME.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      I NOTED elsewhere, that the similarity between the AIDS virus injecting its dna into healthy immune cells, destroying the cells so as to use the contents to replicate itself, and criminals harming me in various ways in efforts to obtain my apartment, and its contents, for their own use, is not coincidental:                                                                                                                                                                                                  A CORRELATION EXISTS between physical diseases harming the body, and "criminal" mind and the criminally insane harming members of society.
