The Conscious Advancement of Evolution by Man - What Aldous Huxley Did Not Know!
"BRAVE NEW WORLD", a novel by Aldous Huxley, postulated Man's deliberate advancement of his own BIOLOGICAL evolution, which to a certain extent is happening now.* Huxley opposed such advancement as tampering, and predicted disastrous results. EVOLUTION HAS ADVANCED, however, building upon the biological, into the realm of MIND, just as evolution of non-living matter, advanced to evolution of life. MAN'S CONSCIOUS FOSTERING of evolution of mind, cannot proceed without his having knowledge of the process, both of his mental evolution as such, and of how to effectively aid its progress, such knowledge increasing over time. I HAVE STATED elsewhere that Man can use such knowledge both to facilitate his own mental advancement over time, and to learn to avoid making mistakes which hinder it. EVOLUTION OF DIFFERENT SPECIES OF MIND in Homo sapiens sapiens, began with Civilization. BY ADVANCING CIVILIZATION, Man furthers his own evolution. A MORE RAPID ADVANCE IN ENVIRONMENT, OVER LONG PERIODS OF TIME, ACCELERATES EVOLUTION OF MIND. MAN LEARNS OVER TIME, and Civilization has been here, but briefly. ALSO NOTE that the process of evolution of mind in Man can be FACILITATED, but not CHANGED, in terms of HOW IT WORKS: Agriculture, Medicine, and Education, all have something in common: plants can be helped to grow, patients can be aided in their recovery, and students can be assisted in their learning. But the plants, patients, and students must grow, recover, and learn by themselves. Farmers, doctors, and teachers know how to aid the process. *future advances in manipulation of DNA, so as to eliminate genetically-based diseases and defects, will probably progress to the removal, fertilization, and gene treatment, or manipulation, of the DNA in the fertilized eggs, followed by their reimplantation into wombs. This is merely one possible scenario. Those opposed to such methods as violating "the sacredness of life", would condemn countless millions of people, over time, to lives needlessly ruined by devastating, genetically-based diseases and defects. Life is sacred. People have a right to be whole. God sent us on a journey. He provided us with the talents and abilities necessary to make the trip a success, and He expects it of us.
