Eternal Mind using Random Chance: God, Creation, and The Lottery
RAISING PROBABILITY TO CERTAINTY involves increasing probability, until it is sufficiently close to a limit of 100%, to guarantee success. Mathematically, this involves approaching that limit to infinity. Everyone knows, for instance, that continuing to play Russian Roulette long enough, guarantees the firing of the gun. WINNING THE LOTTERY is easy, if you buy enough tickets. WINNING CAN BE GUARANTEED 100%. Assuming 6 numbers, each being 2 digits, the chances of 1 particular entry winning are 1 in (00 to 99) to the 6th power, = 1 in 100 to the sixth power, = 1 in 1,000,000,000,000. Purchase 1 trillion tickets, a different number on each one, going from 00 00 00 00 00 00 to 99 99 99 99 99 99, and ALL POSSIBILITIES ARE COVERED, and ONE OF YOUR ENTRIES WINS (assuming that you control the United States Treasury, and somehow lack financial wisdom!). You continued buying tickets, increasing your chances of winning, until you increased your chances to certainty, by entering all possible numbers. LOTTERY MACHINES are random number generators. Each of the six machines in the above example generates one two-digit number, by pure chance. Each of the 100 possible numbers, for each of the six machines, has an equal chance of being generated. EMPLOYING RANDOM CHANCE, involves ENABLING ALL POSSIBLE FAILURES, so as to GUARANTEE SUCCESS in the ONE INSTANCE WHICH DOESN'T FAIL. PROBABILITY INCREASED TO INFINITY, IS CERTAINTY. ONLY INFINITE MIND CAN ENCOMPASS ALL PROBABILITIES. A recent documentary on PBS asserts the discovery of mathematical relationships, including those based upon the Fibonacci Numbers and Pi, occurring extensively in Nature. Theoretical Physics, used to explain the Universe, is validated using mathematics. Researchers now claim (Jan. 2018) that the entire Universe, including all of its random processes, exhibits mathematical relationships (see the note below on CHAOS THEORY). Eternal Mind has infinite knowledge, which includes infinite knowledge of mathematics. It is not surprising that a Universe designed by such Mind, is based upon mathematical principles.* For information on the mathematics of mind itself, see "INTELLIGENCE AND MATHEMATICS", under "contact". Recognition of RANDOM CHANCE, as characteristic of both the PHYSICAL and MENTAL realms, has resulted in the development of Probability Theory, and of the Science of Statistics. Statistical methods are provable using Calculus. They are applied extensively in psychology and other sciences. CHAOS THEORY, a discipline presently taught at universities, seeks to explain random processes, which implies a logic to such processes. SCIENTISTS KNOW that the Universe will expand INFINITELY: the rate of expansion since the "Big Bang" has been consistently increasing, due to a phenomenon which Albert Einstein termed "anti-gravity", which is exerted by empty space upon all material bodies. Since TIME IS NUMBERED MOTION, and only matter and energy move, TIME BEGAN WITH THE "BIG BANG", and the Universe will expand FOREVER. TIME is the numbering of the motion of an INFINITELY EXPANDING UNIVERSE. THE QUESTION of how much matter and anti-matter had to be used to do this, by their reaction with each other resulting in the "Big Bang", is similar to the question of critical mass in nuclear physics, and of how large an explosion will result from the detonation of a given mass of radioactive material. The masses can be calculated. A UNIVERSE EXPANDING FOREVER, increases the number of random events inherent in itself, to INFINITY. NOTE the information in the first paragraph above, that approaching a mathematical limit to infinity, guarantees success. ONLY THE MIND OF GOD CAN ENCOMPASS ALL RANDOM CHANCE, IN A UNIVERSE RESULTING FROM THE "BIG BANG", AND WILL THAT EXPLOSION INTO EXISTENCE, KNOWING WHAT MUST RESULT.** INFINITY OF MIND CANNOT BE ACHIEVED WITHIN A TEMPORAL PROGRESSION. ETERNAL MIND ACHIEVES INFINITY OUTSIDE SUCH A PROGRESSION. EVOLUTION OF ETERNAL MIND, OUTSIDE TIME, IS MIND TO INFINITY, UNCHANGING, MAINTAINING ITSELF TO INFINITY, THROUGH SELF-CONTEMPLATION. KNOWING INFINITELY, SUCH MIND IS OMNISCIENT. SINCE CREATION IS BY GOD, INFINITE MIND WOULD CREATE A UNIVERSE EXPANDING INFINITELY, BOTH IN TERMS OF SPACE, AND OF TIME. The continuous expansion of space, IS time. "Blessed art Thou, Lord God of all Creation, and all Creation rightly gives Thee praise!" JEWS KNOW, THAT GOD IS UNKNOWABLE. THEY OBEY HIS LAW. THE VERY NAME OF GOD, YHWH, IS UNPRONOUNCEABLE. ADDING VOWELS RESULTS IN A NAME OTHER THAN HIS. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO PRONOUNCE HIS NAME, WHICH CONSISTS ENTIRELY OF FOUR CONSONANTS. When Moses, at the burning bush, asked God, "Whom shall I tell them sent me, Lord?", God replied, "Tell them, 'I AM' sent you!" "Know that I am God, and there is none other." Moses, and Saint Anselm of Canterbury, aren't as far apart from each other as you may think. They differ on some of the unimportant, and irrelevant details. "May the time not be distant, O God, when all those on Earth shall know, that to Thee alone, every knee must bend, and every tongue give homage!" "...and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, neither shall they make war, any longer." *note that mathematics itself is structured in a series of progressive stages to infinity. Arithmetic, geometry, algebra, trigonometry, and calculus are stages in this progression. Each stage is distinct, successive stages being more advanced than, and different from, but also inclusive of, modifying, and dependent upon those which precede them: Both two and three-dimensional representations of equations in trigonometry, depend upon arithmetic, geometry, and algebra. Points moving in three-dimensional space, illustrate Albert Einstein's definition of "space-time", time being numbered motion (the fourth dimension). Set Theory uses variables to represent groups of items, and unions and intersections between them. The concept of variables first appears in algebra. Calculus introduces the concept of limits being approached to infinity, so as to calculate the areas under curves. Demonstrating this mathematically, by mapping the equations for curves to do so, depends upon elements from arithmetic, geometry, algebra, and trigonometry. The concept of learning as occurring in stages is not limited to any one type of thought: Isaac Newton could not have written his "Principia" without the works in geometry and conic sections of ancient Greek mathematicians. Albert Einstein could not have developed Relativity Theory without prior work by Newton and others. The works of Newton and Einstein illustrate stages of thought in Theoretical Physics. Isaac Newton's discoveries in Theoretical Physics supported the formulation of "Deism", a religious belief postulating that God had set the planets in motion, and then left them to their own devices as an enormous "clock". George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Neil Armstrong, and other well-known figures throughout History advocated that belief. Most Deists believe that God wanted nothing further to do with Man or the Universe following His act of Creation! Stages of development in music are seen in the Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern periods. These musical forms are distinct, each representing an important advance over its predecessors. Music is an intellectual discipline, dependent upon the environment in which it develops. Romanesque and Gothic architecture, Medieval and Renaissance cathedrals, skyscrapers, different genres of literature, and many other factors are unique and characteristic of the environments in which they occur. Pablo Picasso, Juan Gris, and Georges Braque developed "Cubism" as an artistic expression of contemporary scientific discoveries regarding the existence of more than 3 dimensions. The division of History itself into distinct periods, indicates stages of development in human progression. See "STAGES OF MIND", under "contact". HOW TO READ A BOOK, 2nd. Ed., by Mortimer J. Adler and Charles Van Doren, describes stages and levels in the process of learning to read, literacy being one of the more important ways in which we both acquire and communicate knowledge. Environments nurturing contemporary ideas provide stages of development for further learning, and use of the acquired thought. Ideas do not exist in isolation. The ecosystem concept in biology, which establishes the interdependency of elements in natural systems, applies equally as well to environments fostering evolution of mind. Can "mental ecosystems" be destroyed? Consider the burning of the Great Library at Alexandria, by forces loyal to Augustus Caesar, opposing those of Marc Anthony and Cleopatra.
